جماع أَبْوَابِ ذِكْرِ أَفْعَالٍ اخْتَلَفَ النَّاسُ فِي إِبَاحَتِهِ لِلْمُحْرِمِ، نَصَّتْ سُنَّةُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَوْ دَلَّتْ عَلَى إِبَاحَتِهَا
Chapters on Acts Permitted for the Pilgrim by Sunnah
(252) بَابُ اسْتِحْبَابِ الْفِطْرِ يَوْمَ عَرَفَةَ بِعَرَفَاتٍ تَقَوِّيًا عَلَى الدُّعَاءِ.
Chapter: Recommendation to break the fast at ‘Arafah in ‘Arafat to strengthen oneself for supplication
Hadith Number: 2828
حدثنا الربيع بن سليمان ، حدثنا ابن وهب ، اخبرني مالك بن انس ، عن ابي النضر ، عن عمير مولى ابن عباس، عن ام الفضل بنت الحارث ،" ان ناسا تماروا عند ام الفضل يوم عرفة في صوم رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فقال بعضهم: هو صائم، وقال بعضهم: ليس بصائم، فارسلت ام الفضل بقدح لبن، وهو واقف على بعيره فشرب هو يومئذ بعرفة" . حدثنا الربيع بن سليمان ، حدثنا ابن وهب ، اخبرني عمرو بن الحارث ، عن ابي النضر ، عن عمير ، عن ام الفضل، بذلك.
It is narrated from Sayyida Umm Fadl bint Harith (may Allah be pleased with her) that on the day of Arafah, some of the companions differed in her presence regarding whether the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was fasting or not. Some said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was fasting, and others said that he was not fasting. So Sayyida Umm Fadl (may Allah be pleased with her) sent a bowl of milk to him while he was seated on his camel. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) drank the milk, and he was in the plain of Arafat on that day.

وحدثنا الربيع ، حدثنا ابن وهب ، اخبرني عمرو ، عن بكير ، عن كريب مولى ابن عباس، عن ميمونة ، عن رسول الله بذلك.
Lady Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates this same report from the Messenger of Allah.
