Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah
جماع أَبْوَابِ ذِكْرِ أَفْعَالٍ اخْتَلَفَ النَّاسُ فِي إِبَاحَتِهِ لِلْمُحْرِمِ، نَصَّتْ سُنَّةُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَوْ دَلَّتْ عَلَى إِبَاحَتِهَا
Chapters on Acts Permitted for the Pilgrim by Sunnah
(254) بَابُ إِبَاحَةِ الزِّيَادَةِ عَلَى التَّلْبِيَةِ فِي الْمَوْقِفِ بِعَرَفَةَ بِأَنَّ الْخَيْرَ خَيْرُ الْآخِرَةِ.
Chapter: Permissibility of adding to the talbiyah at ‘Arafah by saying "the best is the good of the Hereafter"
Hadith Number: 2831
حدثنا جميل بن الحسن الجهضمي ، حدثنا محبوب بن الحسن ، حدثنا داود ، عن عكرمة ، عن ابن عباس ، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم وقف بعرفات، فلما قال: " لبيك اللهم لبيك"، قال:" إنما الخير خير الآخرة"
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stayed at Arafat (performed the standing), and when he recited the words of Talbiyah: " «لَبَّيْكَ اللَّهُمَّ لَبَّيْكَ» ", he also recited these words: " «إِنَّمَاالْخَيْرُخَيْرُالْآخِرَةِ» Surely, the real goodness is the goodness of the Hereafter."
