Use of the tooth-stick (siwak)
Hadith Number: 63
حدثنا محمد بن يحيى ، قال: ثنا بشر بن عمر ، قال: ثنا مالك بن انس ، عن ابن شهاب ، عن حميد بن عبد الرحمن ، عن ابي هريرة رضي الله عنه، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال: " لولا ان اشق على امتي لامرتهم بالسواك مع كل وضوء" .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If I did not consider it a hardship for my Ummah, I would have commanded them to use the miswak with every ablution.
