Hadith Number: 149
حدثنا احمد بن يوسف ، قال: ثنا عبد الرزاق ، قال: ثنا سفيان ، عن عبد الرحمن بن الحارث ، قال: ثني حكيم بن حكيم ، عن نافع بن جبير ، عن ابن عباس رضي الله عنهما، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " امني جبريل عليه السلام عند البيت، فصلى بي الظهر حين زالت الشمس فكانت بقدر الشراك، ثم صلى بي العصر حين صار ظل كل شيء مثله، ثم صلى بي المغرب حين افطر الصائم، ثم صلى بي العشاء حين غاب الشفق، ثم صلى بي الفجر حين حرم الطعام والشراب على الصائم، ثم صلى بي الغد الظهر حين كان ظل كل شيء مثله، ثم صلى بي العصر حين كان ظل كل شيء مثليه، ثم صلى بي المغرب حين افطر الصائم لوقت واحد، ثم صلى بي العشاء إلى ثلث الليل الاول، ثم صلى بي الفجر، فاسفر بها، ثم التفت إلي، فقال: يا محمد هذا وقت الانبياء من قبلك والوقت فيما بين هذين الوقتين" .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Jibreel (peace be upon him) led me in prayer near the House of Allah. He led me in the Zuhr prayer when the sun had declined and the shadow of everything was equal to the strap of a sandal. He led me in the Asr prayer when the shadow of everything became equal to itself. He led me in the Maghrib prayer at the time when the fasting person breaks his fast. He led me in the Isha prayer after the disappearance of the twilight (the redness found on the horizon after sunset). He led me in the Fajr prayer at the time when eating and drinking becomes forbidden for the fasting person. Then, on the next day, he led me in the Zuhr prayer when the shadow of everything became equal to itself. He led me in the Asr prayer when the shadow of everything became twice its length. He led me in the Maghrib prayer at the time when the fasting person breaks his fast (i.e., at the earliest time). He led me in the Isha prayer after one-third of the night had passed. He led me in the Fajr prayer when the light had spread. Then he turned to me and said: O Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)! The time of prayer for the Prophets before you was also like this, and the time for your prayer is between these two times.

Hadith Number: 150
حدثنا محمد بن يحيى ، قال: ثنا ابو نعيم ، ومحمد بن يوسف ، قالا: ثنا سفيان ، عن عبد الرحمن بن الحارث ، عن حكيم بن حكيم بن عباد بن حنيف ، عن نافع بن جبير ، عن ابن عباس رضي الله عنهما، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " امني جبريل عليه السلام عند البيت مرتين" ، قال ابن يحيى: وساقا جميعا الحديث" فذكر الصلاة لوقتين في التعجيل والإسفار.
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Jibreel (peace be upon him) led me in prayer twice at the House of Allah ......etc. Ibn Yahya says: The same narration continues, thus he mentioned both times of prayer in haste and in brightness.

Hadith Number: 151
حدثنا محمد بن بزيع النيسابوري ، قال: انا إسحاق يعني ابن يوسف الازرق ، قال: ثنا سفيان الثوري ، عن علقمة بن مرثد ، عن سليمان بن بريدة ، عن ابيه رضي الله عنه، قال: اتى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم رجل فساله عن وقت الصلاة، فقال: " صل معنا هذين، فامر بلالا حين زالت الشمس فاذن ثم امره فاقام الظهر، ثم امره فاقام العصر والشمس مرتفعة بيضاء نقية، ثم امره فاقام المغرب حين غابت الشمس، ثم امره فاقام العشاء حين غاب الشفق، ثم امره فاقام الفجر حين طلع الفجر، فلما كان يوم الثاني امره ان يبرد بالظهر، فانعم ان يبرد بها ثم امره فاقام يعني العصر والشمس مرتفعة فوق ذلك الذي كان، ثم امره فاقام المغرب قبل ان يغيب الشفق، ثم امره فاقام العشاء حين ذهب ثلث الليل، ثم امره فاقام الفجر فاسفر بها، ثم قال: اين السائل عن وقت الصلاة؟ فقام إليه الرجل، فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: وقت صلاتكم ما بين ما رايتم" .
Sayyiduna Buraidah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that a man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to ask about the times of prayers. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "Pray with us for two days." So, when the sun declined, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him), and he gave the adhan. Then he ordered him, and he gave the iqamah for Zuhr. Then, by his order, he gave the iqamah for Asr while the sun was still high, white, and clear. Then, when the sun set, by his order, he gave the iqamah for Maghrib. Then, when the twilight disappeared, by his order, he gave the iqamah for Isha. Then, when Fajr appeared, by his order, he gave the iqamah for Fajr. Then, when the second day came, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered Sayyiduna Bilal to delay the Zuhr prayer, so he delayed it considerably. Then, by the Prophet’s order, he gave the iqamah for Asr while the sun was still high, but much later than the first day. Then, by the Prophet’s order, he gave the iqamah for Maghrib before the twilight disappeared. Then, by the Prophet’s order, he gave the iqamah for Isha after a third of the night had passed. Then, by the Prophet’s order, he gave the iqamah for Fajr when the light had spread. Then he said: "Where is the person who asked about the times of prayers?" That man stood up and came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The time of your prayers is between what you have seen."

Hadith Number: 152
حدثنا محمد بن يحيى ، قال: ثنا عبد الرزاق ، عن معمر ، عن الزهري ، عن ابي سلمة ، عن ابي هريرة رضي الله عنه، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " من ادرك ركعة من العصر قبل ان تغرب الشمس فقد ادركها، ومن ادرك من الصبح ركعة قبل ان تطلع الشمس فقد ادركها" .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever catches even one rak'ah of the Asr prayer before sunset, it is as if he has caught the complete Asr prayer, and whoever catches even one rak'ah of the Fajr prayer before sunrise, it is as if he has caught the complete Fajr prayer.

Hadith Number: 153
حدثنا محمد بن الحسين بن طرخان ، قال: ثنا موسى بن إسماعيل ، قال: حدثنا سليمان يعني ابن المغيرة ، عن ثابت ، عن عبد الله بن رباح ، عن ابي قتادة رضي الله عنه، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، انه قال: " ليس في النوم تفريط ولكن التفريط على من لم يصل الصلاة حتى يجئ وقت الصلاة الاخرى" .
Sayyiduna Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Not offering the prayer due to sleep is not negligence; negligence is on the part of the one who does not offer the (first) prayer until the time for the next prayer arrives.

Hadith Number: 154
حدثنا علي بن خشرم ، قال: ثنا عيسى بن يونس ، عن التيمي ، عن ابي عثمان ، عن ابن مسعود رضي الله عنه، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:" لا يغرنكم اذان بلال او قال: نداء بلال شك التيمي، فإن الفجر ليس هكذا، ورفع يده، ولكن الفجر الذي هكذا، ومد اصبعيه عرضا" .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not eat after the adhan or call (there is doubt from Taymi) of Bilal, because the (true) Fajr is not like this. And he raised his hand upwards. Rather, Fajr is like this. And he spread his fingers sideways.

Hadith Number: 155
حدثنا إسحاق بن منصور ، قال: ثنا زكريا بن عدي ، قال: انا ابن المبارك ، عن يونس ، عن الزهري ، عن عروة ، عن عائشة رضي الله عنها، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال: " من ادرك سجدة من صلاة العصر قبل ان تغرب الشمس ومن الفجر قبل ان تطلع الشمس فقد ادركها" .
Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever catches even one rak'ah of the Asr prayer before sunset and one rak'ah of the Fajr prayer before sunrise, it is as if he has attained the complete prayer.

Hadith Number: 156
حدثنا ابن المقرئ ، قال: ثنا سفيان ، عن الزهري ، عن سعيد بن المسيب ، عن ابي هريرة رضي الله عنه، ان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال: " إذا اشتد الحر فابردوا بالصلاة، فإن شدة الحر من فيح جهنم" .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When there is intense heat, delay the Zuhr prayer, because the intense heat is from the steam of Hell.

Hadith Number: 157
حدثنا محمد بن يحيى ، قال: ثنا عاصم بن علي ، قال: ثنا شعبة ، قال: ثنا قتادة ، عن ابي حسان ، عن عبيدة ، عن علي رضي الله عنه، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال: " شغلونا عن الصلاة الوسطى، صلاة العصر، ملا الله قبورهم او قال بيوتهم وبطونهم نارا" .
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: May Allah fill their (the disbelievers’) graves, houses, and bellies with fire; they did not allow us to perform the Asr prayer.
