Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If you sell a date-palm (fruit-bearing tree) to your brother and some calamity befalls it, then it is not permissible for you to take anything from him.
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with both of them) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) commanded to pardon calamities. (That is, if something is destroyed due to a calamity, its price should not be taken.)
