If a Follower Misses Part of the Imam's Prayer, He Should Make It Up Like the Imam

٤٦٢٩ - حدثنا ابو بكر قال حدثنا هشيم قال: اخبرنا مغيرة عن إبراهيم قال: إذا انتهى إلى الإمام وقد سها قبل ذلك فليسجد مع الإمام ثم ليقض ما سبق به.
حدثنا ابو بكر، قال: حدثنا هشيم، قال: اخبرنا مغيرة، عن إبراهيم، قال: " إذا انتهى إلى الإمام وقد سها قبل ذلك فليسجد مع الإمام ثم ليقض ما سبق به".
Ibrahim says that if a person joins the congregation and the imam has already made a mistake before him, then he should perform the prostration of forgetfulness (sajda sahw) with the imam and then complete his prayer.

حدثنا ابو بكر، قال: حدثنا ابن مبارك، عن هشام، عن الحسن، قال: " إذا سبق ببعض الصلاة وقد سها الإمام، قال: يسجد مع الإمام ثم يقوم فيقضي".

حدثنا ابن إدريس، عن هشام، عن ابن سيرين، والحسن، قال ابن سيرين: يقضي ثم يسجد،
Hazrat Ibn Sirin says that first he should complete his prayer and then perform the prostration of forgetfulness (sajdah sahw). Hasan says that first he should perform the prostration of forgetfulness and then complete his prayer.

4634 - Al-Hasan said: He prostrates with the imam, then stands and makes up what he missed.

٤٦٣٥ - حدثنا ابن فضيل عن مغيرة عن إبراهيم قال: يسجد مع الإمام فإذا انصرف قام فقضى ما سبقه به.
حدثنا ابن فضيل، عن مغيرة، عن إبراهيم، قال: " يسجد مع الإمام فإذا انصرف قام فقضى ما سبقه به"
Ibrahim says that he should perform the prostration with the imam, and when the imam finishes, then stand up and complete the remainder of the prayer.
