كِتَاب الْمَسَاجِدِ وَمَوَاضِعِ الصَّلَاة
The Book of Mosques and Places of Prayer
باب اسْتِحْبَابِ الْقُنُوتِ فِي جَمِيعِ الصَّلاَةِ إِذَا نَزَلَتْ بِالْمُسْلِمِينَ نَازِلَةٌ:
Chapter: It is recommended to say qunut in all prayers if a calamity befalls the Muslims – and refuge is sought from Allah (regarding that). It is recommended to say qunut in Subh at all times. And the clarification that it is to be said after raising the head from bowing in the final rak`ah, and it is recommended to say it out loud

حدثنا ابن ابي عمر ، حدثنا سفيان ، عن عاصم ، قال: سمعت انسا ، يقول: " ما رايت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، وجد على سرية، ما وجد على السبعين الذين اصيبوا يوم بئر معونة، كانوا يدعون القراء، فمكث شهرا يدعو على قتلتهم ".
'Asim reported - I heard Anas saying: Never did I see the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) so much grieved (at the loss of a) small army as I saw him grieved at those seventy men who were called "reciters" (and were killed) at Bi'r Ma'una; and he invoked curse for a full one month upon their murderers.

وحدثنا ابو كريب ، حدثنا حفص وابن فضيل . ح، وحدثنا ابن ابي عمر ، حدثنا مروان كلهم، عن عاصم ، عن انس ، عن النبي، بهذا الحديث، يزيد بعضهم على بعض.
This hadith has been narrated by Anas with another chain of transmitters and with minor additions.

وحدثنا عمرو الناقد ، حدثنا الاسود بن عامر ، اخبرنا شعبة ، عن قتادة ، عن انس بن مالك ، ان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، " قنت شهرا يلعن رعلا، وذكوان، وعصية عصوا الله ورسوله ".
Anas bin Malik (RA) reported that the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) observed Qunut for one month invoking curse upon Ri'l, Dhakwan, 'Usayya. those who disobeyed Allah and His Messenger ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) .

A hadith like this has been transmitted by Anas from the Apostle of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) .

حدثنا محمد بن المثنى ، حدثنا عبد الرحمن ، حدثنا هشام ، عن قتادة ، عن انس ، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، " قنت شهرا، يدعو على احياء من احياء العرب، ثم تركه ".
Anas reported that the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) observed Qunut for one month invoking curse upon some tribes of Arabia (those who were responsible for the murders in Bi'r Ma'una and Raji'), but then abandoned it.

Al-Bari' bin 'Azib (RA) reported that the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) observed Qunut in the morning and evening (prayers).

Al-Bari' reported that the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) observed Qunut in the dawn and evening (prayers).

حدثني ابو الطاهر احمد بن عمرو بن سرح المصري ، قال: حدثنا ابن وهب ، عن الليث ، عن عمران بن ابي انس ، عن حنظلة بن علي ، عن خفاف بن إيماء الغفاري ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم في صلاة: " اللهم العن بني لحيان، ورعلا، وذكوان، وعصية عصوا الله ورسوله، غفار غفر الله لها، واسلم سالمها الله ".
Khufaf bin Ima' al-Ghifari reported that the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) aid in prayer: O Allah I curse the tribes of Lihyan, Ri'l, Dhakwan, and 'Usayya for they disobeyed Allah and His Messenger ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) . Allah pardoned (the tribe of) Ghifar and Allah granted protection to (the tribe of) Aslam.

وحدثنا يحيى بن ايوب ، وقتيبة ، وابن حجر ، قال ابن ايوب، حدثنا إسماعيل ، قال: اخبرني محمد وهو ابن عمرو ، عن خالد بن عبد الله بن حرملة ، عن الحارث بن خفاف ، انه قال: قال خفاف بن إيماء : ركع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، ثم رفع راسه، فقال: " غفار غفر الله لها، واسلم سالمها الله، وعصية عصت الله ورسوله، اللهم العن بني لحيان، والعن رعلا، وذكوان، ثم وقع ساجدا "، قال خفاف: فجعلت لعنة الكفرة من اجل ذلك،
Khufaf bin Ima' reported that the Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) (may peace he upon him), bowed (in prayer) and then lifted his head and then said: So far as the tribe of Ghifar is concerned, Allah had pardoned it, and Allah had granted protection to the tribe of Aslam, and as for the tribe of Usayya, it had disobeyed Allah and His Messenger, (and further said): O Allah! curse the tribe of Lihyan curse Ri'l, and Dhakwan, and then fell in prostration. It is after this that the cursing of the unbelievers got a sanction.

حدثنا يحيى بن ايوب ، حدثنا إسماعيل ، قال: واخبرنيه عبد الرحمن بن حرملة ، عن حنظلة بن علي بن الاسقع ، عن خفاف بن إيماء ، بمثله إلا انه لم يقل: فجعلت لعنة الكفرة من اجل ذلك.
A hadith like this has been transmitted by Khufaf bin Ima' except this that he did not mention (these words): "cursing of unbelievers got a sanctions.
