On the Position of the Lower Garment on the Waist

٢٦٤٦٥ - حدثنا ابو بكر قال: حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد عن محمد بن ابي يحيى قال: حدثني ابو العلاء قال: رايت عليا ياتزر فوق السرة (١).

(١) حسن؛ أبو العلاء اسمه جمهان، وثقه ابن حبان وروى عنه جمع.
Hazrat Abu Alaa narrates that I saw Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) tying the lower garment above the navel.

٢٦٤٦٦ - حدثنا ابو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع عن قدامة بن موسى عن ابيه قال: صليت إلى جنب ابن عمر وقد (ائتزر) (١) فوق السرة، فجذبه حتى جعله اسفل منها (٢).

(٢) مجهول؛ لجهالة موسى والد قدامة.
Hazrat Qudamah bin Musa narrates from his father. He says that I prayed next to Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them). I had tied my lower garment above the navel. So he pulled it until he made it below the navel.

٢٦٤٦٧ - حدثنا ابو بكر قال: حدثنا عبدة بن سليمان عن هشام عن الحسن وابن سيرين انهما (كانا) (١) ياتزران إلى اسفل من السرة.

Hazrat Hisham narrates about Hasan and Hazrat Ibn Sirin that both of these personalities used to tie their lower garment below the navel.
