What Is Said Regarding the Eyelashes?

٢٨٦٠١ - حدثنا ابو بكر قال: حدثنا ابو خالد الاحمر عن حجاج عن مكحول ⦗٤١⦘ عن زيد قال: في (الشفر) (١) الاعلى نصف الدية، وفي (الشفر) (٢) الاسفل ثلث الدية (٣).

(٣) منقطع؛ مكحول لم يسمع من زيد.
Hazrat Zaid said that for the upper eyelid, half diyat is prescribed, and for the lower eyelid, one third diyat is prescribed.

٢٨٦٠٢ - حدثنا ابو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع قال: حدثنا سفيان عن بيان ابي (بشر) (١) عن الشعبي قال: كانوا لا (يوقتون) (٢) في الاشفار شيئا.
ريفرينس و تحكيم الحدیث:
(١) في [م]: (البشر)، وفي [ب]: (شبر).
(٢) في [هـ]: (يوقنون)، وفي [م]: (يوفتون).
Hazrat Sha'bi said that they did not consider anything obligatory in the plucking of eyelashes.

٢٨٦٠٣ - حدثنا ابو بكر قال: (حدثنا) (١) ابو اسامة عن هشام عن الحسن قال: في الاشفار الدية، وفي كل واحد منهما ربع الدية.

(١) في [هـ]: زيادة (وكيع و)، وضرب عليها في: [أ].
Hasan said that there is full blood money (diyah) for the eyelashes, and for each eyelash, there is a quarter of the blood money.

٢٨٦٠٤ - حدثنا ابو بكر قال: حدثنا عيسى بن يونس عن صاعد عن الشعبي قال: في كل شفر ربع الدية.
Hazrat Sha'bi said that for each eyelash, the compensation is one-fourth of the full blood money.

٢٨٦٠٥ - حدثنا ابو بكر قال: حدثنا شبابة عن شعبة عن عبد الله بن شبرمة قال: كان إبراهيم يقول: في الاشفار حكم ذوي عدل.
Hazrat Abdullah bin Shubrumah said that Ibrahim used to say that in the case of plucking eyelashes, the decision of two just men will be considered valid.

٢٨٦٠٦ - حدثنا ابو بكر قال: حدثنا محمد بن بكر عن ابن جريج قال: اخبرني عبد العزيز بن عمر ان عمر بن عبد العزيز كتب إلى امراء الاجناد: في (شفر) (١) العين الاعلى إذا نتف نصف الدية، وفي الشفر الاسفل ثلث دية العين.

Hazrat Ibn Jurayj states that Abdul Aziz bin Umar informed me that Umar bin Abdul Aziz wrote a letter to the commanders of the armies that for plucking the upper eyelash, half the blood money is obligatory, and for plucking the lower eyelash, one third of the blood money of the eye is obligatory.
