Hazrat Ikrimah bin Khalid narrates from a man of the family of Umar that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "For the hand, there are fifty camels."

Hazrat Abu Bakr bin Amr bin Hazm narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) wrote a letter to Amr bin Hazm, in which it was stated that for a hand, the compensation is fifty camels.

Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the hand carries half of the blood money (diyah).

Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the hand carries half of the blood money, that is, fifty camels, which will be divided into four parts: one quarter will be camels entering their fifth year, one quarter entering their fourth year, one quarter she-camels entering their third year, and one quarter she-camels entering their second year.

Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "There is half the blood money (diyah) for the hand."

Hazrat Abdullah said that the compensation for the hand will be in five parts.

Hazrat Amr bin Shu'aib narrates that the decision made by Hazrat Abu Bakr and Umar regarding a wound was that if, due to the hand, the owner of the hand could neither eat nor tie a lower garment nor perform istinja, then full blood money (diyah) would be due; and if the wound was less than this, then the blood money would be according to the extent of the injury.

Hazrat Ibn Jurayj states that Ata said that if the hand is severed from the root, the compensation is fifty camels. I asked, "Is it if it is cut from the shoulder or from the upper arm?" He replied, "No, rather from the upper arm."

Hazrat Mujahid said that if the fingers are cut off, then full blood money (diyah) will be due, and if the palm is cut off, then the blood money is fifty camels.

Hazrat Aamir said that if the hand is cut off from the joint, then half of the blood money (diyat) is due, and if it is cut off from the arm, then half of the blood money (diyat) is due.
