Ruling on a Wound That Reaches the Abdomen

٢٨٨٣٤ - حدثنا ابو بكر قال: حدثنا محمد بن (ابي) (١) عدي عن عمرو عن الحسن في رجل رمى رجلا فانفذه، قال: فيه جائفتان.

It is narrated from Hasan that if a man shoots an arrow at another and it passes through to the other side, then the compensation (diyah) will be equal to that for two wounds of the abdomen.

٢٨٨٣٥ - حدثنا ابو بكر قال: حدثنا ابو خالد عن عبيدة عن إبرإهيم عن عمر قال: في الجائفة ثلث الدية (١).

(١) منقطع؛ إبراهيم لم يدرك عمر.
It is narrated from Hazrat Umar that for an internal wound of the stomach or brain, one-third of the blood money (diyat) is prescribed.
