٢٩٣٩٢ - حدثنا ابو بكر قال: حدثنا وكيع قال: حدثنا سفيان عن جابر عن عامر قال: العقل على من له الميراث.
Hazrat Jabir narrates that Hazrat Amir Sha'bi said: The payment of blood money (diyah) will be obligatory upon those who inherit.

٢٩٣٩٣ - حدثنا ابو بكر قال: حدثنا محمد بن بكر عن ابن جريج قال: قلت لعطاء: ابي القوم ان يعقلوا عن مولاهم (١)، قال عطاء: إن ابي اهله والناس ان يعقلوا عنه فهو مولى المصاب.
ريفرينس و تحكيم الحدیث:
(١) في [ع]: زيادة (مولى من عقل عنه).
Hazrat Ibn Jurayj states that I asked Hazrat Ata: What if people refuse to pay the blood money of their freed slave? Hazrat Ata replied: If the family and people of this slave refuse to pay his blood money, then he will be considered the freed slave of the person who suffered the calamity.

٢٩٣٩٤ - حدثنا ابو بكر قال: حدثنا عبد الاعلى عن معمر عن الزهري قال: قال عمر فيه: إذا والى الرجل رجلا فله ميراثه، وعلى عاقلته عقله (١).
ريفرينس و تحكيم الحدیث:
(١) منقطع؛ الزهري لم يدرك عمر.
Imam Zuhri states that regarding this matter, Hazrat Umar said: When a person helps another person, then the one who helps will be entitled to his inheritance, and his family members will be responsible for his blood money.

٢٩٣٩٥ - حدثنا ابو بكر قال: حدثنا غندر عن شعبة عن الحكم في رجل تولى قوما قال: إذا عقل عنهم فهو منهم.
Hazrat Sha’bah narrates that Hazrat Hakam, regarding a person who has established a connection with a certain people, stated: If he also pays blood money on behalf of those people, then he will be counted among them.
