Yunus reports that Hasan Basri was asked about a man who accused a Christian woman of adultery. He replied: He will be punished if the woman's husband is a Muslim.

Hazrat Qatadah states that it is narrated from Hazrat Saeed bin Musayyib regarding a Christian or Jewish woman who was accused (of adultery) while her husband was a Muslim and she also had a child from him. He said: The prescribed punishment (hadd) will be imposed on the one who made the accusation.

Hazrat Abu Ma'shar states that Ibrahim said: When a Jewish or Christian woman is under a Muslim man, and then someone accuses her (of adultery), there will be no prescribed punishment (hadd) for that person.

Hazrat Abu Bakr bin Hafs narrates that a man accused a Christian woman falsely while her son was a Muslim, so Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz ordered that man to be given thirty-four lashes.
