Supplicating for a Polytheist

٣١٨٢٠ - حدثنا جرير عن منصور عن إبراهيم قال: جاء رجل يهودي إلى النبي ﷺ فقال: ادع لي فقال: (اكثر الله مالك وولدك، واصح جسمك، واطال عمرك) (١).
ريفرينس و تحكيم الحدیث:
(١) مرسل؛ إبراهيم ليس صحابيًا.
Hazrat Ibrahim narrates that a Jewish man came to the service of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), pray to Allah for me. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: May Allah grant you abundance in your wealth and children, may He grant health to your body, and may He lengthen your life.

٣١٨٢١ - حدثنا جرير عن منصور عن إبراهيم قال: لا باس ان يقول لليهودي (والنصراني) (١): هداك الله.

Hazrat Mansur narrates that Ibrahim said: There is no harm in saying to a Jew or a Christian: May Allah guide you.

٣١٨٢٢ - حدثنا عبد الله بن مبارك عن معمر عن قتادة ان يهوديا حلب للنبي ﷺ (ناقة) (١) فقال:"اللهم جمله"، فاسود شعره (٢).
ريفرينس و تحكيم الحدیث:
(١) في [هـ]: (فاقة).
(٢) مرسل؛ قتادة تابعي، أخرجه أبو داود في المراسيل (٤٩٢)، وعبد الرزاق (١٩٤٦٢)، والبيهقي في دلائل النبوة ٦/ ٢١٠، وورد من طريق قتادة عن أنس مرفوعًا، أخرجه ابن السني (٢٨٥).
Hazrat Qatadah narrates that a Jew milked a she-camel for the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O Allah! Make him beautiful, so his hair turned black.
