٣٢١٧٧ - حدثنا ابو معاوية عن الاعمش عن خيثمة عن عبد الله بن عمرو قال: انتهيت إليه وهو ينظر في المصحف، قال: قلت: اي شيء تقرا في المصحف؟ قال: (حزبي) (١) الذي (اقوم) (٢) به الليلة (٣).

(٣) صحيح.
Hazrat Khaythamah says that I went to Hazrat Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him), and he was looking into the Qur'an. The narrator says: I asked, "What are you reading in the Qur'an?" He replied: "That portion of my recitation which I recite at night."

٣٢١٧٨ - حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن عاصم عن زر قال: قال عبد الله: اديموا النظر في المصاحف (١).

Hazrat Zir states that Hazrat Abdullah said: Keep your gaze fixed continuously on the Qur'anic manuscripts.

Hazrat Abu Musa narrates that Hasan said: The rebels entered upon Hazrat Usman while the Qur'an was in his lap.

Ibn ‘Ulayyah states that Yunus said: Among the good manners of the earlier people was to look into the Qur’an, and whenever al-Ahnaf ibn Qays was free, he would keep looking into the Qur’an.

32181 - He said: And al-Ahnaf ibn Qays, when he was alone, would look into the mushaf (1).

Hazrat Sariyyah al-Rabi’ says that Hazrat Rabi’ used to keep reciting the Qur’an by looking into it. So when any person would enter, he would hide the Mushaf. And he would say: This person should not see that I am always reciting the Qur’an by looking into it.

٣٢١٨٣ - حدثنا وكيع قال: حدثنا الاعمش قال: كان إبراهيم (يقرا) (١) في المصحف فإذا دخل عليه إنسان غطاه وقال: لا يرى هذا اني اقرا فيه كل ساعة.

Hazrat A’mash says that Ibrahim used to recite the Qur’an by looking into it, but when someone would enter, he would hide the Mushaf and say,“No one should see that I am always reciting by looking into it.”

٣٢١٨٤ - حدثنا جرير عن منصور عن إبراهيم عن الاسود عن عائشة قالت: إني لاقرا حزبي (او عامة حزبي) (١)، و (انا) (٢) مضطجعة على فراشي (٣).

Hazrat Aswad narrates that Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I used to recite my Sipara or my portion of the Qur'an while I was lying on my bed.

٣٢١٨٥ - حدثنا الفضل بن دكين عن موسى بن علي قال: سمعت ابي قال: امسكت على فضالة بن عبيد القرآن حتى فرغ منه (١).

Hazrat Musa bin Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I heard my father say: I stopped Hazrat Fadala bin Ubaid from (doing something) until he finished with the Qur'an.

٣٢١٨٦ - حدثنا سليمان بن حرب قال: (حدثنا) (١) ابو هلال قال: حدثنا ⦗٤٦٨⦘ ابو صالح العقيلي قال: كان ابو العلاء يزيد بن عبد الله بن الشخير (يقرا) (٢) في المصحف حتى يغشى عليه.

Hazrat Abu Salih Al-Uqaili narrates that Hazrat Abu Al-Ala Yazid bin Abdullah bin Al-Shikhkhir used to recite the Qur'an by looking into it until he would fall unconscious.
