It is narrated from Nafi‘ that Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: A person should write in his will: "If death comes to me before I change this will."

It is narrated from Aamir bin Abdullah bin Zubair that Hazrat Ibn Masood (may Allah be pleased with him) made a will and wrote in his will: "In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. This is the will of Ibn Masood if he dies from this illness."

Hisham narrates that Muhammad said: When people used to make a will, they would write in their will: "If death comes to me before I am able to change my will."

It is narrated from Abu Khaldah that Abu Al-Aliyah said: I have made a will more than ten times. I fix a time for the will, and when that time comes, I have the choice (to keep that will or to change it).

It is narrated from Nafi‘ that Hazrat Ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) had set this condition in his will: "If death comes to me before I make any change in this document."
