Regarding a Man Who Frees a Slave and Then Dies—Who Inherits from Him?

٣٣٥٩٢ - حدثنا الثقفي عن خالد عن محمد بن سيرين في رجل اعتق عبدا له نصرانيا ثم مات؟ قال: لا يرثه.
Khalid narrates that Hazrat Muhammad bin Sirin (may Allah have mercy on him) said regarding the man who freed his Christian slave and then died, that he will not be his heir.

٣٣٥٩٣ - حدثنا يعلى عن يحيى بن سعيد عن إسماعيل بن ابي حكيم ان عمر بن عبد العزيز اعتق عبدا له نصرانيا فمات، فجعل (ميراثه) (١) في بيت المال.
ريفرينس و تحكيم الحدیث:
(١) سقط من: [أ، ب، جـ، س، ط]، وفي [م]: بياض، وأضافه في [هـ]: من عبد الرزاق.
Ismail bin Abi Hakim narrates that Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz (may Allah have mercy on him) freed one of his Christian slaves. Then he died, so he placed his inheritance in the public treasury (Bait-ul-Mal).
