Those Who Said: The Captive Does Not Inherit

٣٥٠٤٠ - حدثنا ابن مهدي عن سفيان عمن سمع إبراهيم يقول: لا يرث الاسير.
Hazrat Sufyan (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from the person who heard Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) saying that a prisoner will not become an heir.

٣٥٠٤١ - حدثنا ابن الحارث عن ابن ابي عروبة عن قتادة عن سعيد بن المسيب قال: لا يرث الاسير في ايدي العدو.
Hazrat Qatadah (may Allah have mercy on him) says that Hazrat Saeed bin Al-Musayyib (may Allah have mercy on him) stated: Whoever is a prisoner in the possession of the enemy will not become an heir.

Dawud (may Allah have mercy on him) says that Sa'id bin al-Musayyib (may Allah have mercy on him) did not make a captive an heir.
