Hazrat Jabir (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Hazrat Abu Ja'far (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Taqiyyah has as much vastness as the space between the sky and the earth.

Hazrat Fudayl bin Marzooq (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Hazrat Hasan bin Hasan (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Indeed, practicing Taqiyyah is a concession. The best is to remain steadfast on the command of Allah.

Hazrat Abu Qilabah (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Hazrat Hudhaifah (may Allah be pleased with him, may Allah have mercy on him) said: Indeed, I have purchased a part of my religion in exchange for another part out of fear that the entire religion might be lost.

Hazrat Nazzal bin Sabrah (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Hazrat Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) and Hazrat Hudhaifah (may Allah be pleased with him) both entered upon Hazrat Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him). Hazrat Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) asked Hazrat Hudhaifah (may Allah be pleased with him): "I have received news that you have said such and such?" He (may Allah be pleased with him) replied: "No, by Allah! I did not say so." When Hazrat Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) left, Hazrat Abdullah said to him: "He asked you, and what I heard you say, you did not acknowledge it?" He replied: "Indeed, I have exchanged a part of my religion for another part out of fear that the entire religion might be lost."
