The Imam Distributes Whatever Is Collected Among the Army

٣٥٤٦١ - حدثنا ابو داود الطيالسي عن عمران القطان عن علي بن ثابت قال: سالت مكحولا وعطاء عن الإمام ينفل القوم ما اصابوا، قال: ذلك لهم.
Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that I asked Hazrat Mak'hool and Hazrat Ata that if the Imam distributes all the wealth that he received as spoils of war, then what is the ruling? They replied (there is none); it belongs to them.

٣٥٤٦٢ - حدثنا عبد الاعلى عن معمر عن الزهري انه سئل عن (النهبة) (١) في الغنيمة إذا اذن لهم اميرهم؟ فكره ذلك.

Hazrat Zuhri (may Allah be pleased with him) was asked: If the leader gives permission to the army and they take things of their own choice, what is the ruling? He disliked this.
