Washing the Hand before Putting it into a Vessel

٣٨٩٩٦ - حدثنا ابن علية عن هشام عن ابن سيرين عن ابي هريرة عن النبي ﷺ قال:"طهور إناء احدكم إذا ولغ فيه الكلب ان يغسله سبع مرات اولاهن بالتراب" (١).
ريفرينس و تحكيم الحدیث:
(١) صحيح؛ أخرجه مسلم (٢٧٩)، وأحمد (١٠٣٤١).
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: The way to purify the utensil of any one of you, when a dog puts its mouth in it, is to wash that utensil seven times and to scrub it with earth the first time.

٣٨٩٩٧ - حدثنا ابو اسامة عن الاعمش عن ابي رزين عن ابي هريرة قال: سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول:"إذا ولغ الكلب في إناء احدكم فليغسله سبع مرات" (١).
ريفرينس و تحكيم الحدیث:
(١) صحيح؛ أخرجه مسلم (٢٧٩)، وأحمد (٧٤٤٥).
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira that I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: When a dog puts its mouth into the vessel of any one of you, it should be washed seven times.

٣٨٩٩٨ - حدثنا شبابة بن سوار عن شعبة عن ابي التياح قال: سمعت مطرفا يحدث عن ابن المغفل ان رسول الله ﷺ امر بقتل الكلاب، وقال:"إذا ولغ الكلب في الإناء فاغسلوه سبع مرات، وعفروه الثامنة بالتراب" (١).
ريفرينس و تحكيم الحدیث:
(١) صحيح؛ أخرجه مسلم (٢٨٠)، وأحمد (١٦٧٩٢).
Hazrat Ibn Mughaffal narrates that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, ordered the killing of dogs and said: When a dog licks a utensil, wash it seven times and scrub it with earth the eighth time. And (Imam) Abu Hanifa's opinion has been mentioned that: Washing the utensil once will suffice.
