Chapter on bathing in stagnant water

نا النيسابوري ، نا يونس بن عبد الاعلى ، نا عبد الله بن وهب ، نا عمرو بن الحارث عن بكير بن عبد الله ، حدثه ان ابا السائب مولى بني زهرة، حدثه انه سمع ابا هريرة ، يقول: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:" لا يغتسل احدكم من الماء الدائم وهو جنب" . فقال: كيف يفعل يا ابا هريرة؟ قال: تتناوله تناولا. إسناد صحيح.
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When any person is in a state of major ritual impurity (janabah), he should not bathe in standing water." The narrator asked: O Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah! Then what should he do? Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) replied: "He should take water (and move aside to bathe)." Its chain of narration is "authentic (sahih)."
