Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: I remember well about myself and the Prophet (peace be upon him): we used to perform purification from the same vessel.

Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: I remember well about myself, I used to perform ablution with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) from the same vessel.

Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates from Sayyidah Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her), who says: I became in a state of major ritual impurity (janabah), so I performed ghusl (ritual bath) from a vessel and some water remained in it. Then the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) came, and he began to perform ghusl from it. So I said: I have performed ghusl from this vessel. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "This water has not become affected by janabah." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ghusl from that vessel. There is a disagreement regarding the narrator named Simat in this narration, and only the narrator named Sharik has reported this: that it is narrated from Sayyidah Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her).

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: In the blessed time of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), we men and women (i.e., husband and wife) used to perform ablution from the same vessel. This narration is also transmitted with another chain of narration.

Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to perform ghusl (ritual bath) with the leftover water of Lady Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her) (from her ghusl or wudu). Its chain of narration is“sahih”(authentic).

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) used to perform ghusl (ritual bath) with the leftover water of Lady Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her) (from her ghusl or wudu). Its chain of narration is "Sahih" (authentic).

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: Sayyidah Maymunah bint Harith (may Allah be pleased with her) informed me of this: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ablution (wudu) with the water left over from the ritual bath (ghusl) of Sayyidah Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her). The narrator named Ramadi has reported this: Sayyidah Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her) performed ablution with water in the state of major ritual impurity (janabah), and the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ablution with the water left over from it.

Sayyiduna Hakam bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade that a man perform ablution with water left over from a woman’s ablution (the narrator is in doubt, perhaps these are the words:) after a woman has drunk from it (to perform ablution). The narrator named Shu’bah states: Sulayman al-Taymi narrated this: Abu Hajib narrated from a companion of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade performing ablution with water left over from a woman’s ablution. The narrator named Abu Hajib is Sawadah bin Asim; regarding him, there is a difference in this narration—some narrators have transmitted it as a statement of Hakam (mawquf), not as a narration reaching the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) (marfu’).

Sayyida Khawla bint Qais (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: (Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says:) Her hand and the blessed hand of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) would enter the same vessel one after the other; she and the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) used to perform ablution together.
