بَابُ الْجُنُبِ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَنَامَ أَوْ يَأْكُلَ أَوْ يَشْرَبَ كَيْفَ يَصْنَعُ
Chapter on what the sexually impure should do if he wants to sleep, eat, or drink

حدثنا ابن منيع ، نا عثمان بن ابي شيبة ، نا طلحة بن يحيى ، عن يونس ، عن الزهري ، عن ابي سلمة ، او عروة ، عن عائشة، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم" كان إذا اصابته جنابة فاراد ان ينام توضا وضوءه للصلاة، فإذا اراد ان ياكل غسل كفيه ثم اكل" . صحيح.
Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: When the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) became in a state of major ritual impurity (janabah) and intended to sleep, he would perform ablution (wudu) as he did for prayer. But if he intended to eat in that state, he would wash his hands and then eat. This narration is authentic.

حدثنا ابو بكر النيسابوري ، نا محمد بن إسماعيل الصائغ ، نا إبراهيم بن المنذر ، حدثنا ابو ضمرة ، عن يونس ، عن ابن شهاب، عن عروة ، وابي سلمة ، عن عائشة ، قالت:" كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم إذا اراد ان ينام وهو جنب توضا وضوءه للصلاة، وإذا اراد ان يطعم غسل يديه ثم اكل" . صحيح.
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: When the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) intended to sleep in a state of major ritual impurity (janabah), he would perform ablution (wudu) as he did for prayer, and if he intended to eat something in the state of janabah, he would wash both his hands and then eat that thing. This narration is authentic.

حدثنا ابو بكر ، نا ابو الازهر ، حدثنا عبد الرزاق ، انا ابن المبارك ، عن يونس ، عن الزهري ، عن ابي سلمة ، عن عائشة ، ان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم" كان إذا اراد ان ينام وهو جنب توضا وضوءه للصلاة قبل ان ينام، وكان إذا اراد ان يطعم وهو جنب غسل كفيه ومضمض فاه ثم طعم" . صحيح.
Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: When the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) intended to sleep in a state of major ritual impurity (janabah), he would perform ablution (wudu) as for prayer before sleeping. And if he intended to eat something while he was in a state of janabah, he would wash both his hands and rinse his mouth, and then eat that thing. This narration is authentic.
