بَابُ الْحَثِّ عَلَى صَلَاةِ الْجَمَاعَةِ وَالْأَمْرِ بِهَا
Chapter on encouraging congregational prayer and the command for it

وحدثنا الحسين بن إسماعيل ، ثنا يحيى بن معلى ، ثنا ابو حذيفة ، ثنا إبراهيم بن طهمان ، عن حصين بن عبد الرحمن ، عن عبد الله بن شداد بن الهاد ، عن ابن ام مكتوم ، انه قال: يا رسول الله، إني لا اقدر على قائد يلائمني في كل ساعة، وبيني وبين المسجد انهار واشجار فيسعني ان اصلي في بيتي، قال:" اتسمع الإقامة؟"، قال: نعم، قال:" فاتها" .
Sayyiduna Ibn Umm Maktum (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: He submitted, "O Messenger of Allah! I do not have anyone to bring me along who can always be with me, and there are streams and trees between me and the mosque. So is there any concession for me to perform prayer in my house?" The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, "Do you hear the call to Iqamah?" He replied, "Yes." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Then you should come here (to the mosque)."
