Book of Reconciliation and Rulings on Disputes
بابُ التَّرْغِيْبِ فِي إِصْلَاحِ ذَاتِ الْبَيْنِ
Chapter: Encouragement to reconcile between people
Hadith Number: 6083
عن ابي الدرداء رضي الله عنه قال قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم الا اخبركم بافضل من درجة الصلاة والصيام والصدقة قالوا بلى قال إصلاح ذات البين وفساد ذات البين هي الحالقة
Narrated by Sayyiduna Abu Darda’ (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Shall I not tell you of an action whose rank is greater than prayer, fasting, and charity? The people said: Certainly. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Reconciling between people; and creating discord among them destroys (good deeds).

Hadith Number: 6084
عن ابي هريرة رضي الله عنه عن النبي صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم قال الصلح جائز بين المسلمين
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Reconciling between Muslims is a permissible act.
