It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) called me and said: "You resemble Isa (Jesus, peace be upon him). The Jews had such enmity towards him that they slandered his mother, and the Christians had such love for him that they gave him a status which he did not possess." Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Beware! Two types of people will be destroyed because of me: one, those who love me, who out of excessive love will attribute to me things which are not actually in me; and the other, those who hate me, who in their opposition will not refrain from making accusations against me. Beware! I am neither a prophet nor does revelation come to me, but I strive as much as possible to act according to the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Prophet. Therefore, as long as I command you to obey Allah, whether you like it or not, it is obligatory upon you to comply with my command in this regard."

Asim bin Damrah says: I said to Sayyiduna Hasan bin Ali (may Allah be pleased with him): The Shia people believe that Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) will return again. He said: These people are liars, they speak falsehood. If this matter had been known to us, then the wives of Sayyiduna Ali would not have remarried, nor would we have distributed his inheritance.
