Sunan Saeed bin Mansur
كِتَابُ التَّفْسِيرِ
Book of Tafsir (Quranic Exegesis)
قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {فَمَنْ شَهِدَ مِنْكُمُ الشَّهْرَ فَلْيَصُمْهُ}
His saying, Exalted is He: {So whoever among you witnesses the month, let him fast it.}
Hadith Number: 273
حدثنا سعيد، قال: اخبرنا حدثنا سعيد، قال: اخبرنا ابو شهاب ، عن ليث ، عن رجل ، عن ابن عمر ، في هذه الآية: فمن شهد منكم الشهر فليصمه سورة البقرة آية 185، قال:" من ادركه رمضان في اهله، ثم اراد السفر، فليصم" .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) regarding this verse: "So whoever among you witnesses the month, let him fast it," says: Whoever finds Ramadan while at home, then intends to travel, he should fast.

Hadith Number: 274
حدثنا سعيد، قال: اخبرنا معتمر بن سليمان ، عن ابيه ، عن ابي مجلز ، قال: " إذا حضر شهر رمضان فلا يسافرن فيه احد، فإن كان لا بد فاعلا، فليصم إذا سافر" .
Abu Mujalid (may Allah have mercy on him) says: When the month of Ramadan arrives, then no one should undertake a journey, and if it is absolutely necessary to travel, then he should fast during the journey.
