Hadith Number: 625
Saeed bin Jubair (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "In the time of ignorance, one person would make a pact with another person, and then both would become heirs to each other." In the same way, our master Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) also made a pact with a person, so when that person passed away, our master Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) became his heir.

Mujahid (may Allah have mercy on him) said in the explanation of Allah the Exalted’s statement: ﴿And for everyone We have made heirs to what is left by parents and relatives﴾:“These are the ‘asaba (paternal relatives).”And regarding Allah’s statement: ﴿And those whom your right hands have pledged to, give them their share﴾, he said:“This refers to the allies (halafā’).”And about ﴿give them their share﴾, he said:“That is, give them their share in blood money, support, and hospitality.”
