Saeed bin Abi Saeed, may Allah have mercy on him, said:“﴿Lau laa kitaabum minallaahi sabaq﴾ means: If it had not already been decided in My knowledge by Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, that I would make war booty lawful for you, then for what you took from the captives on the Day of Badr, a great punishment would have befallen you.”
