كِتَابُ التَّفْسِيرِ
Book of Tafsir (Quranic Exegesis)
الْآيَةُ (58) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {قُلْ بِفَضْلِ اللهِ وَبِرَحْمَتِهِ فَبِذَلِكَ فَلْيَفْرَحُوا هُوَ خَيْرٌ مِمَّا يَجْمَعُونَ}
Verse (58) His saying, Exalted is He: {Say, "In the bounty of Allah and in His mercy—in that let them rejoice; it is better than what they accumulate"}
Hadith Number: 1062
نا عبد الله بن المبارك ، قال: نا الاجلح ، عن عبد الله بن عبد الرحمن بن ابزى ، عن ابيه ، عن ابي بن كعب ، قال: قال لي رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " امرت ان اقرا عليك القرآن"، قال: قلت: سماني لك ربي، قال: نعم، فتلا: قل بفضل الله وبرحمته فبذلك فليفرحوا هو خير مما يجمعون سورة يونس آية 58 قال: بكتاب الله وبالإسلام خير مما يجمعون .
Sayyiduna Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: I have been commanded to recite the Qur'an to you! I asked: Did my Lord mention my name to you? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Yes, then he recited this verse: "Say: In the bounty of Allah and in His mercy—in that let them rejoice; it is better than what they accumulate." That is, say: Rejoice in Allah's bounty and His mercy; it is better than what they accumulate. And he said: Allah's Book and Islam are better than all that they accumulate.

Hadith Number: 1063
نا نا جرير ، عن منصور ، عن مجاهد ، عن ابن عباس ، في قوله: قل بفضل الله وبرحمته فبذلك فليفرحوا هو خير مما يجمعون سورة يونس آية 58 , قال:" بكتاب الله، وبالإسلام خير مما يجمعون" .
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said regarding Allah the Exalted’s statement:“Say: In the bounty of Allah and in His mercy, in that let them rejoice; it is better than what they accumulate”— that Allah’s Book and Islam are better than what people accumulate.

Hadith Number: 1064
نا نا ابو معاوية، قال: نا حجاج بن ارطاة، عن عطية، عن ابي سعيد الخدري ، قال: " بفضل الله وبرحمته إذ جعلهم من اهله" .
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) said: «بِفَضْلِ اللَّهِ وَبِرَحْمَتِهِ» That is, with Allah's grace and His mercy, meaning when Allah the Exalted included them among His own people.

Hadith Number: 1065
نا هشيم، عن جويبر، عن الضحاك، قال: " بفضل الله: القرآن، وبرحمته: الإسلام" .
Dhahhak (may Allah have mercy on him) said: «بِفَضْلِ اللَّهِ» that is, by the grace of Allah, meaning the Qur'an, «وَبِرَحْمَتِهِ» and by His mercy, meaning Islam.
