Saeed bin Musayyib (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "A mudabbara slave woman should neither be sold, nor should her dowry be taken, nor should she be given as a gift, and her master, if he wishes, can have intercourse with her, and her children will be under his authority."

It is narrated from Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him): A man had made his slave a mudabbar. The slave paid some amount during his master's lifetime, and some remained. When the master died, the heirs demanded it from him. Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Whatever the master received during his lifetime belongs to him, and you have no right over what remains."

Hazrat Shurayh (may Allah have mercy on him) also gave a verdict according to this.

Hasan al-Basri (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "If a mudabbar slave sold his own service and some debt remained, then after his death he will be free and nothing will be obligatory upon him."

Ibrahim Nakha'i (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "It is permissible for them to seize it in exchange for the remaining amount."

Hazrat Mujahid (may Allah have mercy on him) says: "A mudabbar slave is a bequest; the owner can revoke it whenever he wishes."

Hazrat Saeed bin Musayyib (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "The children of a mudabbirah slave woman will be under the same ruling as her."

Al-Sha'bi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "The children of a mudabbara slave woman will be under the same ruling as her."

Hazrat Abu Al-Sha’tha’ (may Allah have mercy on him) says:“The children of a mudabbirah slave woman will be slaves.”
