Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) and Hazrat Shurayh (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "The child of an umm walad and a mudabbirah slave woman is under their ruling; with them, the child will be free or a slave."

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) said: "If someone marries his umm walad (a slave woman who has borne him a child) and she bears children, then when the mother is freed, the children will also be freed."

Sayyiduna Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) permitted the sale of the offspring of a mudabbara slave woman and said: "Take whatever share of kinship you can take."

Hazrat Masruq (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "A mudabbar slave is separated from the wealth."
