كِتَابُ النِّكَاحِ
Book of Marriage
بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي الرَّجُلِ يَتَزَوَّجُ الْأَمَةَ وَالْيَهُودِيَّةَ وَالنَّصْرَانِيَّةَ ثُمَّ يَزْنِي
Chapter: What is reported regarding a man marrying a slave woman, a Jewess, or a Christian woman, then committing adultery
Hadith Number: 784
نا هشيم، انا مغيرة، عن إبراهيم، ومطرف، عن الشعبي، ويونس، عن الحسن، وحجاج، وعبد الملك، عن عطاء ," انهم قالوا في الحر إذا تزوج امة ثم اتى فاحشة: انه يجلد ولا يرجم" .
Ibrahim, Hasan, Sha'bi, and 'Ata' (may Allah have mercy on them) said: "If a free man marries a slave woman and then commits adultery, he will be flogged, not stoned."

Hadith Number: 785
نا نا هشيم، قال: انا حجاج، عن عمرو بن شعيب، عن ابيه، عن جده , انه: " لا تحصن الامة الحر، ولا تحصن الحرة العبد , ولا تحصن المسلم اليهودية ولا النصرانية، وإن قذف واحدة منهن لم يكن بينها وبين زوجها لعان" .
Hazrat Amr bin Shu'aib (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from his father, and he from his grandfather, that: "A slave woman does not make a free man, nor a free woman a slave man, nor a Muslim woman a Jewish or Christian woman (muhsan). If any of them is accused of adultery, there will be no li'an (mutual cursing) between them."

Hadith Number: 786
نا نا سفيان، انا ايوب، عن محمد بن سيرين، قال: قال عمر على المنبر: " اتدرون كم ينكح العبد؟ فقام إليه رجل، فقال: انا، قال: كم؟ قال: اثنين" .
Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) said from the pulpit: "Do you know how many marriages a slave can contract?" A man stood up and said: "I know." Sayyiduna Umar asked: "How many?" He said: "Two."
