كِتَابُ الطَّلَاقِ
Book of Divorce
بَابُ مَنْ وَقَّتَ لِلطَّلَاقِ وَقْتًا
Chapter on one who sets a time for divorce
Hadith Number: 1798
نا هشيم، قال: انا مغيرة، عن إبراهيم، قال: " من وقت للطلاق وقتا، فإذا جاء ذلك الوقت وقع الطلاق" .
Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "Whoever sets a time for divorce, when that time comes, the divorce will take effect."

Hadith Number: 1799
نا ابو معاوية، قال: نا الاعمش، عن إبراهيم، قال: " إذا وقت في الطلاق والعتاق وقع، وإذا لم يوقت لم يقع" .
Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "If a specific time is set in divorce and emancipation, it takes effect; if no specific time is set, it does not take effect."

Hadith Number: 1800
نا ابو معاوية، قال: نا عبيدة، عن الشعبي، مثله.
Hazrat Sha'bi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "If a time is fixed for divorce or emancipation, it takes effect."

Hadith Number: 1801
نا حماد بن زيد، عن يحيى بن سعيد، عن سعيد بن المسيب، قال: " إذا قال الرجل لامراته: انت طالق إلى سنة، فهي طالق حينئذ" .
Hazrat Saeed bin Al-Musayyib (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "When a man says to his wife: 'You are divorced after one year,' then the divorce will take place immediately."

نا هشيم، قال: انا يحيى بن سعيد، عن سعيد بن المسيب،" انه كان لا يؤجل في الطلاق" .
Hazrat Saeed bin Al-Musayyib (may Allah have mercy on him) did not grant respite in divorce.

Hadith Number: 1803
نا هشيم، عن منصور، ويونس، عن الحسن،" انه كان لا يؤجل في الطلاق" .
Hasan (may Allah have mercy on him) also did not consider granting respite in divorce to be permissible.
