The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "There is no such thing as bad omen; blessing is in the woman, the mount, and the house."

Sayyiduna Hasan (may Allah have mercy on him) used to say: "If a person appoints a Jewish, Christian, or immoral woman as a wet nurse for his child, there is no harm in it."

The same is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him), but the mention of "fajirah" is not included.

A man, who was from the tribe of Kinana (and the narrator was fairly certain that he was ‘Atwari), reports:“I was sitting with Sayyiduna Ibn ‘Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), and he asked me: ‘Are you from such-and-such tribe?’ I replied: ‘No, but they have suckled me.’ So he said: ‘I heard Sayyiduna ‘Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) say: There can be doubt in (the relationship established by) suckling.’”
