Book of Revelation
- ذكر الخبر المدحض قول من زعم أن أبا إسحاق السبيعي لم يسمع هذا الخبر من البراء-
Narration refuting those who claim Abu Ishaq al-Sabi’i did not hear this narration from al-Bara’.
Hadith Number: 42
اخبرنا ابو خليفة ، قال: حدثنا ابو الوليد ، قال: حدثنا شعبة ، قال: حدثنا ابو إسحاق ، قال: سمعت البراء ، يقول: لما نزلت هذه الآية: لا يستوي القاعدون من المؤمنين سورة النساء آية 95 دعا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم زيدا فجاء بكتف فكتبها فيه، فشكا ابن ام مكتوم ضرارته، فنزلت: غير اولي الضرر سورة النساء آية 95 .
Sayyiduna Bara’ (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: When this verse was revealed:“Those among the believers who sit (at home) are not equal...”the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) called Sayyiduna Zayd (may Allah be pleased with him). He came with a shoulder blade (bone) and wrote this verse on it. Sayyiduna Ibn Umm Maktum (may Allah be pleased with him) complained about his blindness, so this verse was revealed:“Except those who are afflicted (with disability).”
