باب ما جاء في الطاعات وثوابها - ذكر البيان بأن العمل الصالح الذي يفتح للمرء قبل موته من السبب الذي يلقي الله جل وعلا محبته في قلوب أهله وجيرانه به
Chapter on Acts of Obedience and Their Rewards – Good deeds before death cause Allah to place love for a person in the hearts of family and neighbors.
Hadith Number: 343
اخبرنا محمد بن احمد بن ابي عون ، قال: حدثنا موسى بن عبد الرحمن المسروقي ، قال: حدثنا زيد بن الحباب ، قال: حدثنا معاوية بن صالح ، قال: حدثني عبد الرحمن بن جبير بن نفير الحضرمي ، عن ابيه ، عن عمرو بن الحمق الخزاعي ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " إذا اراد الله بعبد خيرا عسله قبل موته"، قيل: وما عسله؟ قال:" يفتح له عمل صالح بين يدي موته حتى يرضى عنه" .
Sayyiduna Amr bin Hamiq Khuzai (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When Allah Almighty intends good for a servant, He makes him pure (i.e., He grants him a good reputation) before his death." It was asked: What is meant by making him pure? The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Before his death, righteous deeds are opened up for him, until that person becomes pleased with them."
