باب ما جاء في الطاعات وثوابها - ذكر الإخبار عما يجب على المرء من إصلاح أحواله حتى يؤديه ذلك إلى محبة لقاء الله جل وعلا
Chapter on Acts of Obedience and Their Rewards – One must improve his state so that it leads to loving to meet Allah.
Hadith Number: 363
اخبرنا اخبرنا عمر بن سعيد بن سنان بمنبج، قال: انبانا احمد بن ابي بكر ، عن مالك ، عن ابي الزناد ، عن الاعرج ، عن ابي هريرة : ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال:" قال الله تبارك وتعالى: إذا احب عبدي لقائي، احببت لقاءه، فإذا كره لقائي، كرهت لقاءه" .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "Allah Almighty says: When My servant likes to be present in My court, I also like his presence, and when he dislikes to be present in My court, I also dislike his presence."
