Chapter on Gentleness – Clarification that gentleness beautifies things, while its opposite disgraces them
Hadith Number: 550
اخبرنا عمران بن موسى ، قال: حدثنا عثمان بن ابي شيبة ، قال: حدثنا شريك ، عن المقدام بن شريح ، عن ابيه ، عن عائشة، قالت: كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يبدو إلى هذه التلاع وقال لي:" يا عائشة فإن الرفق، لم يكن في شيء قط إلا زانه، ولا نزع من شيء إلا شانه" .
Lady Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) came to this high (or low) ground and said to me: O Aisha! Be gentle with me, for gentleness beautifies whatever it is in, and when it is removed from something, it disgraces it.
