باب الصحبة والمجالسة - ذكر الأمر للمرء أن لا يصحب إلا الصالحين ولا ينفق إلا عليهم
Chapter on Companionship and Sitting – Instruction to only keep company with the righteous and spend on them
Hadith Number: 554
اخبرنا الحسن بن سفيان ، حدثنا حبان بن موسى ، اخبرنا عبد الله ، عن حيوة بن شريح ، عن سالم بن غيلان ، ان الوليد بن قيس حدثه، عن ابي سعيد الخدري ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم انه، قال: " لا تصاحب إلا مؤمنا، ولا ياكل طعامك إلا تقي" .
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "Keep the company of only a believer, and let only the righteous eat your food."
