Hadith Number: 557
اخبرنا الفضل بن الحباب ، قال: حدثنا مسدد ، حدثنا ابو معاوية ، عن الاعمش ، عن شقيق ، عن ابي موسى ، قال: اتى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم رجل، فقال: يا رسول الله ارايت رجلا يحب القوم ولما يلحق بهم؟ قال: " المرء مع من احب" .
Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A man came to the service of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). He asked: What is your opinion about a person who loves a people, but is not able to join them? The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A person will be with those whom he loves."
