باب الصحبة والمجالسة - ذكر البيان بأن المجالس إذا تضايقت كان عليهم التوسع والتفسيح دون أن يقيم أحدهم آخر عن مجلسه
Chapter on Companionship and Sitting – Clarification that when gatherings are crowded, people should make space and not remove others from their seats
Hadith Number: 586
اخبرنا احمد بن الحسين الجرادي بالموصل، قال: حدثنا إسحاق بن زريق الرسعني ، قال: حدثنا إبراهيم بن خالد الصنعاني ، قال: حدثنا سفيان ، عن عبيد الله بن عمر ، عن نافع ، عن ابن عمر ، قال:" نهى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ان يقيم الرجل الرجل من مقعده فيقعد فيه، ولكن تفسحوا وتوسعوا" .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade that a person should make another stand up from his place and then sit there himself. Rather, you should make room and accommodate each other.
