Chapter on Companionship and Sitting – Clarification that this regret applies even to those who enter Paradise
Hadith Number: 591
اخبرنا حاجب بن اركين الفرغاني ، بدمشق، قال: حدثنا احمد بن إبراهيم الدورقي ، قال: حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن مهدي ، عن شعبة ، عن الاعمش ، عن ابي صالح ، عن ابي هريرة ، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، قال: " ما قعد قوم مقعدا لا يذكرون الله فيه ويصلون على النبي إلا كان عليهم حسرة يوم القيامة، وإن ادخلوا الجنة للثواب" .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him): "Whenever some people gather at a place and do not remember Allah there, nor do they send blessings upon the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), then this will be a cause of regret for them on the Day of Resurrection, even if they are admitted into Paradise for reward."
