باب العزلة - ذكر البيان بأن الاعتزال لمن تفرد بغنمه مع عبادة الله إنما يستحق الثواب الذي ذكرناه إذا لم يكن يؤذي الناس بلسانه ويده
Chapter on Seclusion – Clarification that one who isolates himself with his sheep and worships Allah only deserves the reward if he does not harm people by word or deed
Hadith Number: 606
اخبرنا حامد بن محمد بن شعيب البلخي ، ببغداد، حدثنا منصور بن ابي مزاحم ، حدثنا يحيى بن حمزة ، عن الزبيدي ، عن الزهري ، عن عطاء بن يزيد الليثي ، عن ابي سعيد الخدري : ان رجلا اتى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، فقال: يا رسول الله، اي الاعمال افضل؟ فقال:" رجل جاهد في سبيل الله بماله ونفسه"، قال: ثم من؟ قال:" مؤمن في شعب من الشعاب يعبد الله، ويدع الناس من شره" .
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A man came to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). He asked: O Messenger of Allah! Which deed has the most virtue? He replied: The person who strives in the way of Allah with his life and wealth. He asked: Then which one? He said: The believer who lives in a mountain pass, worships Allah Almighty, and keeps people safe from his evil.
