Chapter on Poverty, Asceticism, and Contentment – On the true strong person being the one who controls himself at times of desire and temptation, not the one who overcomes others with words
Hadith Number: 717
اخبرنا محمد بن احمد بن ابي عون ، قال: حدثنا هناد بن السري ، قال: حدثنا ابو الاحوص ، عن سعيد بن مسروق ، عن ابي حازم ، عن ابي هريرة ، قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: " ليس الشديد من غلب، إنما الشديد من غلب نفسه" .
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The strong one is not the one who overcomes others; the strong one is the one who controls himself at the time of anger."
