Chapter on Rules for the Junub – Permission for a person in a state of major impurity to sleep after washing the private part and performing ablution for prayer
Hadith Number: 1214
اخبرنا محمد بن عبد الرحمن السامي ، قال: حدثنا يحيى بن ايوب المقابري ، قال: حدثنا إسماعيل بن جعفر ، قال: اخبرني عبد الله بن دينار ، انه سمع ابن عمر ، يقول: ذكر عمر لرسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم انه تصيبه الجنابة من الليل،" فامره ان يتوضا ويغسل ذكره، ثم ينام" .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) mentioned before the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he becomes in a state of janabah during the night, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) instructed him to perform wudu, wash his private parts, and then go to sleep.
