باب أحكام الجنب - ذكر الإباحة للجنب أن ينام قبل أن يغتسل من جنابته إذا توضأ قبل النوم
Chapter on Rules for the Junub – Permission for a person in a state of major impurity to sleep before ghusl if he performs ablution first
Hadith Number: 1215
اخبرنا الفضل بن الحباب الجمحي ، قال: حدثنا القعنبي ، قال: حدثنا ليث بن سعد ، عن نافع ، عن ابن عمر ، ان عمر بن الخطاب سال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: ايرقد احدنا وهو جنب؟ فقال صلى الله عليه وسلم:" نعم إذا توضا" .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) asked the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him): Can any one of us sleep in a state of janabah (major ritual impurity)? The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Yes, when he performs ablution (wudu), (then he can sleep).
