Chapter on Used Water – Permission to seek blessing from the ablution water of righteous scholars who follow the Sunnah, not innovators
Hadith Number: 1268
اخبرنا عبد الله بن محمد الازدي ، قال: حدثنا إسحاق بن إبراهيم ، قال: اخبرنا ابو عامر العقدي ، قال: حدثنا عمر بن ابي زائدة، عن عون بن ابي جحيفة ، عن ابيه ، قال:" رايت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم في قبة حمراء، ورايت بلالا اخرج وضوءه، فرايت الناس يبتدرون وضوءه يتمسحون، قال: ثم اخرج بلال عنزة فركزها، ثم خرج رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم في حلة حمراء سيراء، فصلى إليها والناس والدواب يمرون بين يديه" .
Awn bin Abu Hujayfah narrates from his father: I saw the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in a red tent. I saw Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) come out carrying the leftover water from the Prophet’s ablution. I saw people rushing towards the leftover water of ablution and they began to rub it on their bodies. Then Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) came out carrying a spear. He fixed it in the ground. Then the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) came out wearing a red Yemeni cloak. He faced towards the spear and performed prayer, while people and animals were passing on the other side of it.
