باب جلود الميتة - ذكر الأمر بالانتفاع بجلود الميتة إذا دبغت
Chapter on Skins of Dead Animals – Command to benefit from the skins of dead animals if they are tanned
Hadith Number: 1282
اخبرنا عبد الله بن محمد بن سلم ، قال: حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن إبراهيم ، قال: حدثنا الوليد بن مسلم ، قال: حدثنا الاوزاعي ، عن الزهري ، عن عبيد الله بن عبد الله ، عن ابن عباس ، ان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، مر بشاة ميتة، قال: " هلا استمتعتم بجلدها؟" قالوا: يا رسول الله إنها ميتة، قال: إنما حرم اكلها" .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by a dead goat and said: Why do you not benefit from its skin? The people said: O Messenger of Allah! It is dead. The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Its consumption has been declared unlawful.
